LEAD PASTORS: Rev. Mark & Sun Hardgrove

Rev. Mark & Sun HardgrovePastor Mark  and Sun Hardgrove serve the Conyers Church of God as lead pastors.  Dr. Hardgrove graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Behavior Science from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, received M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from the Church of God Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.

Mark and Sun have three children--Timothy, Candace and Destin. Dr. Hardgrove served his denomination in the state of Kansas as Pastor of the Church of God in Junction City, District Overseer, Ministerial Internship Coordinator, and State Council Member. In 1994 he moved to Georgia to serve the Lawrenceville Church of God as Pastor of CE and Evangelism. He served as Senior Pastor of the North Metro International Church of God from June 1996 to December 2000. He was appointed Senior Pastor of the Conyers Church of God December 2000.  Sun served on the Women's Ministies Board in Kansas and is currently a Wednesday night discipleship teacher and is engaged in pastoral care ministies at the Conyers Church of God.

Dr . Hardgrove  has served North Georgia as a State Council member, a Pastoral Covenant Group Facilitator, and is the State CIMS Administrator.  He is currently serving a second term on the State Evangelism Board and as the Chair of the North Georgia Church of God Chaplaincy Ministry Board. In addition Dr. Hardgrove is the Associate Dean for Academics and Chair of the Division of Graduate Studies at Beulah Heights University in Atlanta.

 
 

  PASTOR of Youth, Administration, and C. E. : Rev. David Grace, M.B.A., Beulah Heights University

David is serving as Pastor of Administration for Conyers Church of God, the Distance Learning Center Coordinator, and Pastor of Christian Education where he recruits and trains teachers.  David has previously served as the Lead Pastor of the Lexington Church of God near Athens, Georgia.  Additionally, Rev. Grace works as the youth pastor of Impact.

 

CHILDREN'S MINISTER: Teresa Higginbotham Teresa and her husband, Scott, are members of CCOG who have stepped into our Children's Minstry department to bring a fresh new perspective to Kid's Church.  Teresa also serves as our Mpact Girl's Ministry Coordinatoor.  A home-school mom who carries a burden for today's children, Teresa exhibits a great desire to teach God's Word to a new generation.

MUSIC MINISTER: Rev. Wallace Smith
Wallace has the choir growing. He leads choir in praise and worship as well as powerful choir specials. Under his direction the choir has grown from around a dozen to over 30 members.  Under his leadership the choir has recorded two CD's and have sung at various venues as guests at variour churches, the local mall, and the county fair.  Rev. Smith is also the Principal of Excel Christian Academy  
 

 


SENOR ADULT PASTOR: Rev.  C. A. & Doris Register, B. A., M.Div.
 A graduate of Beulah Heights University and the Church of God Theological Seminary, Rev. C. A. Register brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from years of pastoring, as well as a genuine passion for senior adult ministry.  He is leading a dynamic and exciting ministry for our 55 and older adults at the Conyers Church of God.  In 2011 Brother and Sister Register were recognized as the "Senior Adult Ministry Couple of the Year" for the Church of God.



CHURCH TREASURER: Rev. Danny McLeod, B. A., M.Div.
Conyers Church of God was the boyhood church for Danny McLeod and he has served in various positions in the church under all three Senior Pastors.  Danny is a graduate of Lee University and The Church of God Theological Seminar.  He served as the Senior Pastor of Midway Church of God in Rockdale County, Georgia for seven years.  Danny also currently serves Excel Christian School as the High School teacher.  Danny has two beautiful daughters.

COMPASSION MINISTRIES: Lisa Hollis
Is active in reaching out to nursing home patients and other benevolence type needs.

PRAYER WARRIORS: Joyce Burris, Director.
Sister Joyce leads a group of dedicated prayer warriors on Tuesday mornings in the prayer chapel. Their prayers form the foundation upon which this church is being built.
